- Strong knowledge of Open Source
- Strong experience in Project planning and management
- Strong client facing skills
- Good team handling skill.
Responsibilities :
- Executing official management
- Training modules management
- Marketing and client handling
- Monitor and reports progess, risks and issues
- Will lead a team of developers.
2. Required one "Project Consultant" for executing different open source projects. This job is purely on contractual basis and is valid for six months. Extension of this job will further be decided by Executive Committee, IOTA.

- Experience in Open Source Database archiving
- Extensive experience in Open Source RDBMS
- Admin knowlege of Network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls
- Admin knowledge of servers (HP/IBM/Dell) including hardware and OS
- Strong experience in Project planning and management
- Strong client facing skills
- Good team handling skill.
Responsibilities :
- Implementation projects in different Open Source environment
- Resposible for the design of the archiving solutions and documentations
- Monitoring and generation of MIS Reports (progess, risks and issues)
- Will lead a team of developers.

| | | IOTA has developed an integrated Students Admissions Facilitation System (SAFS) which has successfully been launched in Vidyasagar College this year. The software allows students to simultaneously apply for admission to Bachelors degree courses in different departments of different colleges in the state of West Bengal. The student will only need to provide their scores in different subjects in the qualifying exam. The software will automatically select students eligible for admission based on the eligibility criteria provided by each of the participating colleges. It will also generate a merit list for each individual department based on criteria specified by respective colleges. |
| | | Recently, the state has selected to install Lenovo PCs loaded with Red Hat Linux for an e-Governance programme involving 277 panchayats in Burdwan district. Recently, the IT department set up a computing center for open source software. Leading open source software vendors like Sun, IBM and Red Hat have already expressed their willingness to participate. The government is looking for a more active involvement with various shades of the free and open source based software movement. |
| | | Kerala has no ban on Microsoft or any other proprietary software, FOSS (free and open source software systems) do get a free leg-up. For the schools, the state fine-tuned its own OS in Linux, helped by Free Software Foundation and migrated the school PC's en massage to Linux. Over 60,000 teachers have been trained. |
